Using note templates

A template is free-text guidance for how you like your notes written - it shapes structure and tone but never invents content.

What it does

Lets you standardise your notes (for example a Recheck or Dental/GA layout) without changing what VetAI is allowed to say.

How to use it

• Pick a built-in style (Consult, Recheck, Dental/GA, Vaccination and more) or create your own in Settings under Note templates.
• Star the ones you use most and they move to the top.
• On a finished note, use Rewrite with a template - VetAI rewrites the note from the stored recording, so you never re-record.

Good to know

Rewriting replaces your manual edits, so copy anything you want to keep first. A rewrite counts as one generation.
